Indian-origin boy Anirudh spins a win at the 1st The Great Australian Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to the crackerjack!! 9 year old Melbournian ‘Anirudh Kathirvel’ leaves us spellbound as he wins the first ever The Great Australian Spelling Bee. Well done!

On 07.09.15- The winning episode was telecasted on Ten show, where Victorian ace Anirudh,9, had a face off with NSW girl Grace,8, and won the title with the surprise finale prize of  $50,000 education scholarship – a prize which none of the children knew they were contesting for.
